How to Prepare

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing for easy access to arms, hands, legs, and feet.

  • Eat a light meal or snack 1–2 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Arrive hydrated and avoid caffeine or alcohol before your session.

  • We use herbal liniments and essential oils in most treatments; please inform us of any sensitivities or allergies beforehand.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • Complete a brief health intake and sign a consent form; choose from a menu of treatment options.

  • During Treatment: A quick consultation to address your health goals, followed by insertion of 4–10 hair-thin needles, primarily in arms and legs, left in place for about 25 minutes. When applicable, sessions conclude with manual therapy.

  • Relax in cozy, reclined chairs, fully clothed, during your 35–45 minute session.

Post Treatment Recommendations

  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and support your body’s healing process.

  • Avoid strenuous activity or extreme temperatures for 4–6 hours after treatment.

  • Rest and relax to maximize the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture.

  • Feel free to email us with any questions or concerns

Benefits of Community Style Acupuncture

Affordability & Accessibility

With lower costs and frequent sessions, community acupuncture makes it easier for people to receive regular treatment, which can be crucial for managing chronic conditions.

Social Support

Receiving treatment in a shared space with others can create a sense of community and collective healing, which some people find comforting and supportive.

Efficiency

Because multiple people are treated simultaneously, community acupuncture clinics often have more flexible scheduling and can accommodate more patients in a shorter time frame.
