At SimplyStrong Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, we’re all about making acupuncture affordable and accessible. We work with certain insurance plans to help cover your treatment costs. Below, you’ll find information on the insurance providers we accept, how to check your benefits, plus details on coverage, treatment options, and fees. Out-of-network Coverage
If your insurance plan is out-of-network, we provide a superbill—a detailed receipt of services rendered—that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement

Insurance Verification Options
To verify your insurance, please choose one of the following options:

Online Verification: Visit our scheduling page to book an appointment, create your patient portal, and complete the Intake Form, which includes a section to upload your insurance information.

Contact Us: Email or call us with your insurance details, including full name, date of birth, contact information, insurance company name, policy number, and group number.
Note: Insurance verification may take up to 2 business days to process.
Treatment Options
Most major insurance plans reimburse for standard 15-30-minute acupuncture sessions. We offer two treatment options to suit your preferences and budget:
1. Insurance: Maintenance Treatment(Semi-Private Room)
Setting: Relaxed, shared Community Acupuncture Room where 3-5 patients are treated at the same time. Please visit our community acupuncture page for more information.
Duration: 25 minutes
Cost: Fully covered by insurance; patient is responsible for any co-pay or co-insurance with no additional concierge fee.
Best for: Follow-up appointments and those seeking an affordable, communal healing experience.
2. Insurance: Extended Treatment (Private Room)
Setting: Private, one-on-one Treatment Room for maximum privacy and focus.
Duration: 45-60 minutes
Cost: Insurance covers the session; patient is responsible for any co-pay or co-insurance, plus a $42 concierge fee per session.
Best for: Those wanting a private, comprehensive treatment experience that may
include adjunct therapies such as cupping, manual therapy, and herbal medicine.
First-time insurance patients are encouraged to schedule an Extended Treatment- this allows enough time for a thorough health history, assessment, and treatment. Follow-up appointments can be booked as either maintence ot extended.
Conceirge Fee
A concierge fee of $42 is an optional, separate charge applied in addition to any applicable copay, coinsurance, or deductible for services in our private treatment room. This fee is not a payment for covered acupuncture treatments, which we bill to your insurance according to your plan's benefits and our contracted rates. We accept the insurance-allowed amount as payment in full for covered services.
Most insurance plans reimburse for standard acupuncture sessions (typically 30 minutes of core treatment). The concierge fee supports enhanced, non-covered elements in a private setting, such as:

Extended treatment duration beyond the typical covered time increments for core acupuncture needle insertion and retention, allowing for more thorough reassessment, monitoring of therapeutic response, and individualized adjustment of the treatment protocol.

Incorporation of adjunctive therapeutic modalities (e.g., myofascial release/manual therapy techniques, cupping therapy, gua sha/scraping, herbal medicine consultation and recommendations), which are frequently classified as non-covered or not separately reimbursable under many insurance plans, including those administered through most insurance providers.

Enhanced personalized clinical experience in a dedicated private treatment room, providing greater privacy, focused practitioner attention, reduced environmental distractions, and optimized conditions for patient comfort, relaxation, and clinical efficacy.
This fee is voluntary—patients can opt for our semi-private community acupuncture room at no additional concierge charge, which provides a cost-effective alternative with standard covered treatments (though wait times and privacy may differ).
